Requesting and Renewing Login Credentials for Ohio State's Counselor Portal

This job aid provides step-by-step instructions and troubleshooting tips for new and returning users.

The counselor portal gives high school counselors and advisors access to their students' Ohio State application information.

To access this data, you must establish an Ohio State identity (a "sponsored guest account"), and request portal access. See the steps below.

Helpful Note
  • This is a multi-step process with some wait steps in between. Estimate completing the process within 2 to 3 business days.
  • Your account is active for one academic year. You need to request access each year.
  • You must be associated with a specific high school, so have your CEEB code(s) ready. We'll verify your identity in order to protect student data.

Expand each accordion section below to learn about each step.

1. Initiate the Process

Initiate the process by submitting the Request Login Credentials Form
Required fields are marked with an asterisk. Note that Date of Birth is included as a required field; this information is needed to verify your identity.
